I found that git error in the install step, but I'm not sure it's
important to patch it out.

[1/4] Generating version information with a custom command.
fatal: not a git repository (or any parent up to mount point /)
Stopping at filesystem boundary (GIT_DISCOVERY_ACROSS_FILESYSTEM not
set).
Command '['git', 'describe', '--dirty', '--match', 'v[0-9]*[!asz]']'
returned non-zero exit status 128.
