OSOR FOCUS
Virtual Forge Service - have your own open source repository
There are already many national and regional repositories, which collect open
source source applications useful for municipalities and other public
administrations. However setting up and operating such a repository can be very
costly and time consuming (believe us, we know!): one has to buy servers,
internet connection, install the necessary applications, hire experts to
operate the site 24/7... This needs a lot of commitment both in human and in
financial resources.
OSOR.eu would like to make it easier for you to set up your national, regional
or local repository. We are now offering you our Virtual Forge service, with
which you can set up your own open source repository fully customizable with
the your language and the branding of your local public administration. Did we
mention that it is free? We provide the service so that you can focus on the
content.

Project Template - a new prospect of your project
OSOR's second new feature, Project Template, supplies up-to-date information on
the software development projects on the site. Development metrics provide
insight in each of these projects and IT decision makers will find useful
estimates on the total cost of ownership, based on source line of code (SLOC)
analysis.
