The drummers are good too. Speakin' of which, there's a 
biography of Earl Palmer due this year. In the past, Palmer 
has claimed that Motown ripped off non-Motown-staff 
session musicians both figuratively and literally by paying 
them to record "demos" on the cheap, then releasing the 
tracks. It ought to be just one interesting thread in what'll 
be a hell of a story.
