Origin of the Klan

I thought the KKK originated in lovely east Texas, specifically the town of Vidor...It's quite possible although I have read numerous reference books pointing to Pulaski TN as the original home of the Klan.

According to the Klan site(http://www.kkk.com), it was "reactivated" by Col. William Joseph Simmons on top of Stone Mountain, GA, on Thanksgiving 1915.

Not something for Georgia to be proud of, in my opinion. Unfortunately, your mileage may vary.
