I saw Peter Guralnick give a lecture last night and he made reference to
Greil and the invisible republic. I didn't get the impression that he
was being critical. I was a little sleepy, though.
Guralnick gave a great talk. A couple of ladies behind me slammed him for
not being a "dynamic" speaker. Talk about missing the point. "Dynamic"
stuff is over-rated, I think.
"Cage-match". I've never heard that before. I'm trying to picture it.
