As Bill said, I'd worry more about a Chilton solo show, since he varies
wildly from great shows to obnoxious "worst ever" experiences, etc. (He
and Jonathan Richman are my leading contenders for "most unpredictable
performer").  But with Big Star I get the impression he's a little more
dependable....
