For those wishing to know: Mrs. S. C. Hall lived in Brompton and was a well-known writer. She supported the need for a hospital to look after those suffering from consumption (T.B.) which was then incurable. When the hospital was built she wrote this illustrated book with a trajic tale of a young girl who dies of consumption in order to raise money for the hospital. Being a local there's lots of local Chelsea references and early pictures too.

All the best,
David,
Rather warm but overcast England
