For those wishing to know: an account, taken in short hand, of the 1817 trial of John Church the famous preacher, for sexual assault on Adam Foreman, then 18 years old. The trial was a sensation not only given the allegations but that a minister of religion, and a very well known one at that, was involved. It was accompanied by mobs in the streets, Church being burn in effergy etc. John Church later apparently claimed this wasn't a true account of the trial, but the outcome (Church found guilty) was certainly the case.
