For those wishing to know: as Kensington, London, grew in population during the 19th century so did the sanitary issues. Medical officers were appointed and Kensington was very lucky to T. Orme Dudfield, who wrote this report, who was very good at his job and his reports were often held up a model for others. It's a mine of statistics but also there's reports on what was done during the year (such as fining for having a diseased cow carcase, vacination of children and the cleaning up of the Iron Foundry).
