For those wishing to know: Bennett wrote this book about a walking tour of Wales he undertook in 1837. Unlike guide books for Wales upto this point, this took a far more chatty and down to earth approach and so reveals quite a bit about Wales at the time. Fourteen years later he changed the book in many ways, producing the Tourist's Guide through North Wales - by 1853 the railways had started to develop, there were better coaching routes etc., so people weren't so keen on walking...
