For those wishing to know: published anonymous in 1825 this book is often mis-attributed to George Borrow. Prof. Betty T. Bennett was able to work that it was written by a lady called Mary Diana Dods, who became the husband of Isabella Robinson, and was a very close friend of Mary Shelley.
