Digging in my email archive, I found an off-list thread where I
discussed this with Markus Benning. That was near the end of
September.
Yes, there was discussion in Aug/Sept. about machine readable postqueue
output.
I played around with the showq code to check how difficult it would be
to
write a patch for it.
I removed the sendmail format output code from the showq daemon and
replaced
it with a postfix "attr" protocol output.
The plan was to move the formating to the postqueue client tool.
My goal is to add the default sendmail output, JSON and may be a
CSV like output format which is easily grep-able.
