Wietse Venema via Postfix-users <wie...@porcupine.org>
is rumored to have said:
Jeff Pang via Postfix-users:
In default setup when postfix deliver messages to other MTA, is it
going
by ssl/tls or plaintext?
https://www.postfix.org/postconf.5.html#smtp_tls_security_level
Also note that you can always get the configuration defaults for your
build of Postfix with "postconf -d" *which may differ* from the
documented values because packagers for various OS's and OS
distributions may have opinions on 'better' defaults. For example, a
packager for a system that includes OpenSSL in the base may rebuild
Postfix with opportunistic TLS by default.
