Oct 17 15:18:01 mail postfix/lmtp[1197734]: F06E53E040A: to=<mailu...@domain.tld>, relay=domain.tld[ private/dovecot-lmtp], delay=0.15, delays=0.12/0.02/0.01/0, dsn=5.6.7, status=bounced (SMTPUTF8 is r equired, but was not offered by host domain.tld[private/dovecot-lmtp]) The message was rejected because Dovecot does not announce SMTPUTF8 support. SMTPUTF8 is needed for email with non-ASSCII headers, sender addresses, or recipient addresses. There is no defined conversion from SMTPUTF8 messages to traditional SMTP messages, so the only option for Postfix is to return such email to the sender. Some people work around this by setting "smtputf8_enable = no", so that the remote SMTP client will return the message as undeliverable, and you may never know that someone tried to send email.
