"But it works with Sendmail...." It's decades since I implemented this part of the SMTP server. There is a difference between Sendmail (sends 550) and Postfix (sends 554). 554 is not listed as an RCPT TO response in RFC 821 (the protocol spec at the time), and it's also not listed as an RCPT TO reply in RFC 521 (the current spec). My bad. Unfortunately, htere is no simple way to chage this Postfix reply code (other than flipping bits in the executable file).
