Success! I got LMDB 1.0 from https://git.openldap.org/, patched it
with https://git.openldap.org/openldap/openldap/-/merge_requests/900.patch,
and found no errors.
The logic to (drop AND update the database) in one transaction works
again, including automatic retries after a 'database full' condition.
Another big sigh of relief.
