Hi all,
As part of my mail system I am using postgrey.

I am running Centos 5.2, MailScanner latest version with postfix and spamassassin

When stuff is stopped at the gate (so to speek) i.e. it doesn't even get into the the system is there a log kept of this?
I thought it might be in the maillog file but i'm not convinced it is.

Thanks
Kate

Postfix records events through the normal system logging facility, syslogd. The details of where to find the logs are system dependent and not part of postfix, but often the logs can be found in /var/log/maillog or /var/log/mail.log or some variation.
Default logging includes sender and recipient info for rejected messages.

If you need to know what Mailscanner did with some message, you'll need to ask on a Mailscanner list where to find and how to interpret its logs.
