I've spent a few years on the N domain/vhost forms (mobile stuff...).
and the result is: http://${domain}/ is not a good idea. it causes a lot
more problems than solutions.

anyway, on a "standard" desktop:
- firefox will happily try www.$df if there's no A.
- IE 8 will show a search page (if google is our search engine,
www.postfix.org is the first link)

and did we talk about "bookmarks"?
