...I am a literal person - tell me "keep it short" like Herr Harald did, and I obey nicely! I figured maybe I had broken the ettiquite of this list or something. With something like Thirty Five Years working with computers every day, I consider it my obligation to provide a good problem statement when I'm reporting one. I guess my initial report went over-board for Harald's tastes, and then too far the other way for yours! No harm intended, just watch out for those of us who take things literally! -smile- > This would imply that Postfix actually does offer SASL AUTH service. Agreed, though I was expecting it to announce it, as described here: http://www.postfix.org/SASL_README.html#server_test > Brutally honest, No hurt feelings, Wietse. You and the folks who volunteer your time here are great and, frankly, I preferr "brutally honest", though many people say so but don't! As its working now, I'll let you get back to your previously scheduled program(ing)! Regards, Richard
