Hello,
I've stumbled across one of our older systems and noticed a minor
problem in its mail delivery system.

421 Exceeded allowable connection time, disconnecting. (in reply to end
of DATA command))
I've tried to resolve it by adding
smtp_connection_cache_on_demand = no
to main.cf, but it didn't help. Did I turn the wrong knob? This problem
occurs when there is a burst of mail activity, then pause (5 minutes is
probably the limit) and then another mail tries to be delivered. This
server only produces mail and sends it via smarthost. RHEL 5.6 64bit,
postfix-2.3.3-2.1.el5_2.
