Dear All,

I'm trying to configure postfix as a smarthost. It rewrites the sender
address with sender_canonical_maps.

<ch...@example.com>: host smtp.example2.com[1.2.3.4] said: 553 5.7.1
<strohh...@example2.com>: Sender address rejected: not owned by user
strohh...@example2.com (in reply to RCPT TO command)

I'm surprised that both addresses are the same. The Postfix
documentation says envelope and header are rewritten by default by
sender_canonical_maps.

The From-Header is rewritten correctly in the mail attached to the
delivery failed message.

When I use another mail client I can send from strohh...@example2.com
without any issues!

Does someone happen to know, what the issue is? Is it possible to make
the smarthost more verbose?

Thank you in advance!

- Chris
