it's called deprecated and used for clients the same way as 993/995 for
imap/pop3 over TLS without STARTTLS - but your port is completly wrong

*any server* aout there deliver mail to you will do that over port 25
with or without STARTTLS and as long you can see no connection in the
maillog postfix is not involved at all
