Actually the set I have is surprisingly effective and also surprisingly good

Sounds like you're trying to recreate deep inspection in postfix.
Use SpamAssassin instead.
Absolutely no deep inspection, no content inspection at all, just more
flexible / controllable chaining of smtpd restrictions.
