Yes, that is a good idea. It also allows you to give
IPv4 and IPv6 addresses to the same domain.

It is not implemented. Multiple instances gives better control over
policies, and the cost of one master+qmgr is negligible. If you
intend to maintain configurations by hand you're working too hard.
