Hi QUESTION: Is it possible to have postfix reject all email received over the network that is submitted without a message-id header? a date header?
As far as I can tell the answer is 'no' because it seems the cleanup/trivial-rewrite add message-id and date before any instructions I can give postfix are invoked. The system in question is our incoming edge / hygiene system that expect to only get email from other MTA following MX records and relays the email inward for further handling on other machines. The system explicitly does not support clients, scripts, etc and other things that might create email with missing headers. Regards, Todd Olson
