Hi all.
I’m a bit worried about the following read errors i see in my log
lately. Mails still arrive and get sent fine, but what is going on
with this? It doesn’t look good. Nothing has change on server side
and i restarted all services (dovecot, postfix, saslauthd, sql ).
Where are the errors??? I see none.
It appears that you've turned on verbose TLS logging for Postfix, which
is almost never a good idea. Show the output of 'postconf -n' and we can
help you turn it off. Most likely the solution is "postconf -e
smtp_tls_loglevel=1" or "postconf -e smtp_tls_loglevel=0" depending on
how much TLS detail you want.
You DO NOT want this much. Really.
Maybe it’s a temporary iPhone thing (the device im using to read and
send mails, not the first time that happened. Maybe changing the port
will do the trick).
NOPE. This is a misconfiguration. You are logging information that isn't
problematic in any way. It is obscuring any REAL issues by flooding your
logs with data that you have no need for.
Thanks for looking.
