My question is: what rfc makes the '/' illegal in a local delivery address?
None.It is a very poorly documented rule of the Postfix local(8) delivery agent for address extensions. I'd say "undocumented," because I can't find it mentioned, but I'm sure if I did that Wietse or Viktor would cite where it is in the docs.
