If all you want to do is push mail out then I would recommend something much lighter weight such as msmtp, esmtp, ssmtp or nullmailer. These are designed to connect to and push mail out to a submission server and have a much lighter weight footprint than postfix and as such are way better suited to usage on an embedded system.
