format of 'from'

hi guys.

On a very basice deployment would simply "fixing" generic 
maps control "FROM" address? Say:
root m...@mine.dom (for system root to send mail)
? And if so then is it possible to tell Postix to do in such 
a way that recipient will se:
From "It's me <m...@mine.com>"
