Why not use Amavis as a before-queue MILTER? Then there is no need
to propagate remote SMTP client info through non-Postfix programs.
Thanks for the suggestion.  I have now done that: amavisd-milter and opendmarc.

It seems to work fine.

A hint for others migrating from content_filter or smtpd_proxy_filter to milters: don't forget to remove "-o receive_override_options=no_address_mappings" from the options to the port 25 smtpd instance.  I neglected that, and it wook me quite a while to figure out why mail was not delivered.
