I have postfix server which runs in usual port 25 . apart from that we have
configured that postfix instance to run on port 2587 as well .

So the issue is when i access the URL as below

postfix is NOT a HTTP server.

i get the following error in the browser page ( Only work in Firefox
browser )

output
=====

220 mailserver.example.com (Debian)
221 2.7.0 Error: I can break rules, too. Goodbye.

this happens, when you try to use postfix as a HTTP server.

So i wanted to block browser based access to the mail server

how/why? postfix has just rejected you, isn't this just enough?

or stop displaying the error message

please explain. Do you want to not get error message when an error occurs?
