From my point-of-view, it's a rather odd question; i see them as
complementing one another nicely.
I'm working on a project that involves a large spatial database, which
i'm storing in postgis, and google earth, which i'm using as the
display/view tool. Postgis easily outputs kml for google earth/maps.
