Hi, By the looks of it - you have a geography, not geometry, column, with a SRID set. As far as I remember, geography looks up the SRID in the spatial_ref_sys table to check if it's indeed a degrees-on-a-spheroid one. This probably needs a ticket on https://trac.osgeo.org/postgis/.
