@Guido & Frank: The SRIDs you mentioned i tried, but i got very wrong results while transforming to SRID 4326, which puts Bad Tölz, Germany to somewhere Bourges, France. If you look at the definition in srtext, there are differences in the SPHEROID and else. Anyway, i added a user defined record into spatial_ref_sys and it works fine.

I just noticed that the

Allows you to upload in WKT, proj4 etc and I presume it generates the other 
versions ofr you.

e.g. WKT, proj4, PostGIS insert, Mapserver mapfile text.

Has anyone used the above functionality.  Might be useful for people who get 
some weird WKT they don't know how to stuff into PostGIS and also 
simultanoeusly contribute to the greater cause.
