It should come as no particular surprise that I can't reproduce the problem with that table :) I took a *guess* and patched GEOS 3.1 svn branch with what I think might be a fix. You can try that version of GEOS or the GEOS svn trunk (which has a completely new implementation) and see if the problems go away.
