I'm encountering something I've not seen before; Udig having problems connecting to PostGIS. I'm running a Ubuntu 9.10 box with udig-1.1.1-linux.gtk.x86, postgresql-8.4.2, and postgis-1.4.1. Postgis is up and running, and seems to be working properly (able to load, unload, query, etc). However, when I try to add a PostGIS layer in Udig, the application just sits and spins. Is there some sort of new connection parameter in PostGIS that needs to be set before Udig will connect to it? I'm able to connect with ogr2ogr just fine, so I'm not sure whet else to check.
