Hi Sebastian, did you use PgAdminII for display the data? PgAdminIII do not show large columns. You can test it by "SELECT id, ST_Length(your_geom), roadclass FROM MY_GEOMETRY_TABLE". And one question. What is the reason for storing such big roads?

The INSERT-statement is in a form like: INSERT INTO MY_GEOMETRY_TABLE VALUES (1, 2, GeomFromText('MULTILINESTRING((11.5211 48.08109, [...],11.51651 48.08071))',4326)); (first column being the PK, second an attribute (roadclass)). When I execute this one, no error occurs (even in the Postgres logs), but the 'geometry' column is just empty atferwards! I experimented a bit, and noticed that to the limit of about 170 points everything works, and above that, the problem shows up. So I wonder if there is any hard limit on number of points for a MULTILINESTRING?
