Really nice! Initially my sides were NULL because my road centerlines were LINESTRING rather than MULTILINESTRING which caused ST_GeometryN() to return NULL. Used ST_Multi() to cast them, and am now getting good looking results. Thanks Eric, I owe you a few beers!
