Hello, I converted an Access database (contains two fields X and Y) in a .shp file it's ok, but when I wanted to convert the .shp into a postgis database ( using the shp2pgsql-gui.exe ) it gives me the following message:
Unable to convert field name to UTF-8 (iconv reports "Illegal byte sequence" ). Current encoding is "UTF-8". Try "latin1 " (Western European), One Of The gold values at http://www.postgresql.org/docs/current/static/multibyte.html Described. Shapefile import failed. how I'm going to do ??
