Hi Steve - thanks for the speedy reply. I understand that & have been able to make install PostGIS as a different user, just not as postgres, as the PostGIS instructions direct. Are the instructions wrong?
I'm concerned that - by not installing as postgres, as the instructions indicate - I might be creating problems for myself down the road.
