This has come up a few times, most people just put in a custom header like
FRONT-END-HTTPS: on

Then, the application can check for the custom header.

This should also save some processing so that the certificate doesn't need to
be encrypted/decrypted twice.

Subject: [Pound Mailing List] https between pound and an internal server

Hello guys.

Is it possible to configure pound to communicate over https with a internal
server ?

I have the following scenario:

Client-------------- [HTTPS] ------------->Pound-------------- [HTTP]
----------->Internal Server

and I'd to build the following one:

Client-------------- [HTTPS] ------------->Pound-------------- [HTTPS]
----------->Internal Server

We have a new application that only accepts request over http. But as far as
know, pound cant communicate over https with an internal server, is that
correct ? Is there any workaround to avoid this ?

TIA,

Fábio
