Hello everybody,

we've two virtual web servers on different physical machines. In the night
backup's are slowing down the virtual machine.

Pound uses both web servers as backend servers. If the machines are very slow,
pound repeatedly shows an "internal server error" in the browser.

The main problem is, that we're backing up only one server and only this server
is very slow or heavily loaded.

Why doesn't pound notice that the web server (which is backing up) cannot be
easily reached, maybe timed out and avoid him?

How can we prevent this error? Or what's the problem?

Yesterday I played a little bit with the timings and modified them:

Alive 5 to 60

Client 30 to 45

TimeOut 15 to 30

ConnTO 15

Somebody has a good advice?

Thanks a lot!

Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Alexander Manhart
