Hello,

I need to set up SSL-encrypted backends behind our load balancer
because our application requires it.

I have checked pound documentation, this list, and Google and it seems
pound was unable to facilitate SSL back-end servers in the past but
maybe the functionality has been added in a recent version (based on
the links below).

The trouble is, when I've attempted to set up SSL to the back-end
nodes, Pound fails to start. I'm clearly doing something wrong there.
It's probably because I'm mostly guessing as to how to configure this
bit... or maybe because Pound does not actually support SSL back-ends.

Can someone on the list tell me if Pound is, in fact, able to perform
SSL encryption to back-end nodes? If it can do so, would you mind
putting a configuration file snippet here to show me how it's done?

Thank you!

Mike

PS: I know using SSL on back-ends is not optimal but until the
framework the application is built on is changed to not force SSL on
certain parts of our sites, I have no choice but to deal with it.
