HTTP/1.1: Connection timed out (150.105 secs)", where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is
back-end local IP TimeOut is set to 150 secs. xHTTP is set to 4.

Your problem might be the low timeout of 150s. MS recommends a timeout of at
least 15 minutes when using Direct Push
(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/905013/en-us/) . As this is a huge tiemout,
you might want to configure a dedicated pound backend for ActiveSync and set
the large timeout only in this backend.
