Hi all,
Pound logs a time in its logs: Oct 18 23:00:38 proxy1 pound: cdn.boeties.nl 85.223.47.166 - - [18/Oct/2011:23:00:38 +0200] "GET /mwa/image/productlijst/2902F.jpg HTTP/1.1" 200 13283 "http://www.boeties.nl/webshop/boeties" "Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.3; nl-nl; HTC_DesireZ_A7272 Build/GRI40) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1" (ADN Default -> 213.207.111.2:8080) 0.025 sec This time: 0.0.25 sec, what time is measured? I'm asking this question, because we're having a hard to debug problem: sometimes a request takes 4 to 6 seconds for the end user to complete. Pound however still logs a very short time. Therefore I suspect the delay can be found in the final stage of sending back the response body from pound to the visitor. Some noticeable behaviours: * the connections is either very quick, or delayed by 4 to 6 seconds * according to firebug, most time is spent waiting, the result arrives in very short time * delays are clustered together: sometimes about 4 images are delayed while others arrive quickly. The delay on those 4 images is always the same for all of them (again, measured by firebug). Our setup: visitors | pound | | nginx nginx | | apache apache pound load balances between multiple nginx caches and has the apache machines configured as HAport. -- Met vriendelijke groet, Erik Hensema -- HostingXS B.V. eXcellent Service Support: [email protected] Algemeen: [email protected] Administratie: [email protected] Telefoon: 024 - 324 91 77 Fax: 024 - 324 91 76 Post adres: Postbus 5 6500 AA te Nijmegen Website: http://www.hostingxs.nl Twitter: http://twitter.com/HostingXS -- To unsubscribe send an email with subject unsubscribe to [email protected].
