Betreff: Round-Robin / Type COOKIE / http-https
Dear List,
I´m new on the list and new on pound.
I can´t find some information how to configure pound to balance with round-robin.
The only thing I´ve found is the
"Priority" setting. Do I have to set round-robin via priority?
Which range (min, max) has the priority value and what happens if you set priority to e.g. 5 and 4 by working with 2 backends?
Another question I have concerns "type" within the Session setting.
Where´s the difference between
Type COOKIE
ID "userid"
ID "userid"
and
ID "sess"
ID "sess"
??
Last Question: How to configure pound to balance a mix between http and https?
I know how to configure pound to access http or https access, but what happens, if I´m accessing a http website and changing into a https website on same domain?
Example: balance to
and redirecting within the domain-access to the subdomain
If I have a look on the pound logfile there appears each access until I´m changing from http to the https subdomain. What about balancing afterwards? There´s still session-stickyness?
Thanks and best regards
Tom
