I have some suggestions for the pound man page.
- The
RewriteDestination option
indicates that the IP4
Destination Address header should be modified when
redirecting a request to the proxied webapp.
- Setting the
RewriteLocation option to 2
causes the HTTP Location
and Content-Location headers to be modified, along
with an HTTP status 301 redirection.
The RewriteLocation statement has 3 values. It would be helpful if
those values were individually explained.
- Value 0 is not explained
- Value 1 would benefit from at least one concrete example,
showing how the protocol is modified and any comparisons that
are done
- Value 2 would benefit from at least one concrete example,
showing how the protocol is modified and any comparisons that
are done
Seems like LogLevel 2 is the most verbose. This should be
mentioned because it is unusual; most software I have encountered
uses higher numbered log levels to provide greater verbosity.
The Cert option does not mention that PEM certificates without
passwords are required. If true, this should be mentioned.
Some discussion of how Pound's use of the certificate relates to
the proxied service's use of the certificate.
Thanks,
Mike
