I just did some testing here, on XP SP1,
and I can confirm that adding an exe file correctly to
the local_machine\...\App Paths key does add it to
"the virtual path"
Here's what I did:
-----------------------------------------
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\ResHacker.exe]
@="C:\\Utils\\Reshack\\ResHacker.exe"
"path"="C:\\Utils\\Reshack"
-----------------------------------------
before doing that, typing "reshacker" or "reshacker.exe"
in PowerPro's Tiny Run box produces a "no such file"
error message.
After Merging the reg file shown above, typing just "reshacker"
in the Run box will start the app.
Similarly with a one line test script file:
do("ResHacker","")
;; or this line:
do("ResHacker.exe","")
either will open Reshacker after the regfile above has been merged.
