I have posted a beta of the configuration program pproconf.exe at
http://www.windowspowerpro.com/download/TextConfig.zip
I'd appreciate the help of anyone who could text the new text
configuration features. To install and use:
1. Create a new folder and download the above zip into it. Please
work in a new folder: Do _not_ overwrite your existing pproconf.exe
and do _not_ use on your existing pcf file in the PowerPro folder!
2. Unzip. You should see a pproconf.exe and help files in doc and
html format.
3. Copy your existing pcf file and your ppro.dll file into this new
folder.
4. Shutdown PowerPro.
5. Run pproconf.exe by drag and dropping pcf file or double
clicking exe.
YOu can use export as text and import as text buttons to work with
ini files. Of course, use your favorite text editor on the ini
files themselves. Use the configuration program to view imported
files to make sure they have been imported correctly.
I'm interested in whether people see anything unexpected when
working with the text files.
When testing is done, I will move the code to the PowerPro exe
program as well so imports can be done directly into PowerPro,
rather than working through the pcf import and export.
