Hi Alex, > I've just downloaded Ravi's latest rendition of the Aliases script and > I'm coming across a few problems. I'm wondering if anyone else is > experiencing anything of the like. I'm using PowerPro v3.8.13.
Same here ... 3.8.13 - which OS are you using? > Firstly, I installed the script as documented in the Read Me but while > the script was simply named .PowerPro, nothing would work an error > message popped up claiming that it couldn't find the file and so I > have renamed the script to Aliases.PowerPro and adjusted everything > accordingly. That's odd - I was afraid of things like that ... does it work for other people? > If one has their Variables must be declared before use option ticked > under Advanced Setup, a small array of error boxes pop up when > PowerPro starts. This is easily fixed however by disabling that > option. Ah -yeah .. I'm sloppy that way. Must put this in the readme. Is that the default? > After those messages though, I'm receiving a Cannot use *Wait in > nested script error, followed by Cannot find window to change or to > send keys to: Run:* For now - just exclude the [EMAIL PROTECTED] from the startup item. I think autocomplete won't work the first time though. Until we sort this out. I had one or two problems with that same error message - and started using miscplugin's waits instead. > Hmmm... this must all be a problem at my end obviously but I can't see > anything jumping out at me... any thoughts? I have a few more - but will write more about them in the morning - v. late here and got to head off now. Also - I've discovered a bug in history saving ... I have a fixed version which I'll upload tomorrow. If more people are having the "can't find file" thing I'll probably change the name. It's probably a good idea for me to start declaring variables as well. Thanks Alex - just the kind of feedback I wanted ... hopefully we can get things working well on your system.
